Dr Carla Amaral is a researcher, designer and educator with international experience in Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and the UK. She has taught and worked in the areas of inclusive, visual, interactive, product, service, and experience design. Carla recently completed an interdisciplinary PhD in digital design, service design and disability research. Her thesis uncovered how digital platforms can support mobility and enable self-determination for young people with physical disabilities. Carla is committed to addressing global challenges by designing custom methods for co-design to foster inclusive and healthy communities.
