Dr Gina Moore

Dr Gina Moore is a visual artist, researcher and lecturer in the Animation program at RMIT. Gina started her career as a painter, sculptor and illustrator working exclusively with traditional analogue media until she discovered computer animation in 2001. Alongside her art practice, she worked for many years as a 3D animator in the advertising industry. In 2007 she completed a Master of Arts and in 2016 a PhD. In both these research degrees she explored limitations and opportunities afforded by emerging animation technologies. Gina has received numerous public art commissions as well as awards for her interactive artworks, animated films, and paintings. She is represented in various public and private collections throughout Australia. Her current practice involves 3D animation and visual effects, virtual reality, augmented reality, and digital design.
